  First class service from start to finish. Staff in store were helpful without being overbearing. Carpet was available in time frame promised, didn't pressure into buying expensive underlay - in fact confirmed that our existing underlay was still in very good condition. Fitting was completed promptly and perfectly. All in all, everything you would want from a carpet shop.

  Fabulous service!. I needed a new carpet (for a house we let) in a hurry - both in terms of the time I had available to select/ order it, and the small window of time to get it fitted. Basically Downs in Newbury made it all so easy, I was really grateful. I explained what I needed, and they recommended a good solution - and didn't try to sell me underlay that I didn't need! They were able to provide an accurate quote in store using my measurements (without me needing to arrange a separate appointment at the house), then took up my old carpet, disposed of it and fitted the new one - including collecting and returning the house key to the estate agents for us. A brilliant service that was just what I needed at a stressful time!
